Feature: If you own one of these, you have GREAT taste

We all like to think we have impeccable taste, whether that’s in fashion, film, furniture or, yes, watches. Admittedly, taste is highly subjective—one person’s crass is another person’s cool. That said, we’ve rounded up five timepieces that we think only someone with a discerning eye for all things stylish would wear—or at least have on their wish list. What do you think?

Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso

Originally created for polo players in the 1930s, JLC’s Reverso has since garnered attention from those off the playing field thanks to its sleek and charming design—a notable element being its flippable dial. A perfect example of a watch from and inspired by the art deco era, the Reverso is a luxurious piece ideal for the more refined and mature watch-lovers out there.

Grand Seiko Elegance Collection

The great Japanese watchmaker Grand Seiko has been growing in popularity lately, and if you watch our YouTube videos you’ll know that we, too, are huge fans. The Elegance Collection offers a range of stunning pared-down pieces with a sporty twist that are perfect for every day, as well as those bigger dressier occasions. What’s not to love?

Cartier Tank

The most famous watch with a rectangular case, the Cartier Tank is a sought-after piece loved by everyone from senior royals to the sporting elite. Although the Tank is famed for its dainty design, it didn’t put off one of the world’s most celebrated sportsmen, the late, great boxer Muhammad Ali, who was often photographed wearing his Tank—proving that small watches aren’t just for women.

Vacheron Constantin Overseas

Sitting alongside Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet in the ‘Holy Trinity’ of watchmaking, Vacheron Constantin is a prestigious watchmaker indeed. The Overseas is the brand’s flagship luxury steel sports model and it’s a great choice for anyone considering a Nautilus or Royal Oak but who fancies something a little less predictable, yet still sits among the upper echelons of watchmaking.

Omega De Ville

Omega created the De Ville range after it updated the look of its Seamaster to a sportier one via the Seamaster 300. But the brand didn’t want the dress watch diver theme of the old Seamaster to go to waste. Therefore it transferred it to a new collection—the De Ville. Today, the De Ville offers minimalist dials with elegant Roman numerals, as well as models with a sprinkling of diamonds that are ideal for those seeking a hint of glamour.
